The RM Neuroscience programme is a fulltime, two-year study programme of 120 EC hosted by the dept. Neuroscience. This programme trains students to become researchers in the field of Neuroscience.
The two-year fulltime research master programme in Neuroscience (120 EC) aims to teach and train talented students in the rapidly expanding field of Neuroscience to become independent researchers. The programme provides candidates with an academic education by combining high quality theoretical knowledge with extensive neuroscience research training, which enables them to become researchers with the capacity to further advance biomedical (clinical) and basic neuroscience research.
MSc Neuroscience graduates are well trained to take up PhD positions in various medical fields, such as neurology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, oncology, psychology, psychiatry and gerontology. The industrial application of neuroscience research is broad. It runs from molecular and genetic approaches for drug development in pharmaceutical companies to new design in robotics based on neural principles and intelligent man-machine interface devices. The programme prepares students for future research positions in these areas in technology and industry.
